Fans: we have definitely seen this group grow in the past two years. Where we started off just having fun in our garage we have taken the bull by the horns as they say and really made a go of playing live and selling merchandise. Your continued support allows us to escape the reality of everyday life and step into a world that we create through musical expression. If you had not bought a shirt, record, CD, sticker or admission to a show, we wouldn't be here. Thanks for your support and love throughout the beginning stages of our hopefully one day career. We owe you another album at the bare minimum.
Friends: Again we have definitely seen this group grow and take shape as the heart and soul of the band. You too have bought our CD, records, shirts and admission cost on most every occasion and still find time to get to know the real us. There aren't enough words in the dictionary to describe the kinds of friendships we have made over the past three years. Those that encouraged us and those who were brutally honest to the point that it drove us even harder towards writing , recording and our performances. From the begging of a show to the ride home in “Rojo Grande” each night has been a wonderful experience because you were there.
You hear big artist when they win awards on TV say that we owe it all to our Fans. Well good people, that's only part of it. It's your friends that make or break a band. They see you in the down stages as well as the up. They know who you really are outside all the lights and loud speakers. They understand what you are trying to accomplish and give you feedback. They tell you the shit you sometimes don't want to hear. They tell you the TRUTH. A lot of this group seems to also be made up of the other bands we associate with: Lawndart Casualty, Redline Zero, Cashman, Hans Condor, Sons of Lions, Root Stout, Cody Blaine and the Whole Fam Damnly, Sakefoot Shuffle, Westfolk, The Raven Revue, The Hustlers, Sam Roy & many more. While that's nowhere near the full disclosure of people we would like to mention, those are definitely some of the people who continue to help us grow. Those people are the real deal and they are our friends.
Fakes: This group unfortunately is rather big itself. So instead of a note to this group I would rather give more of a scientific explanation of what to look for when trying to identify the characteristics of this species. These are the ones who want everything for free. They use you, act like they know you (sometimes) and don't know you other times. Ultimately this group never show up when you need their support and almost always need something from you. This group is also known as the "self beneficiary" group. If it doesn't pertain to their gain they why bother? People in this group can't believe they should have to pay to see you, come to shows, buy a record, CD or any merchandise for that matter. Yet they continue to show themselves in relevance to anything you have going on. Creepers in the night this group can stimulate drama and hardships between you and the first two groups. Keep this group at a distance and never let them know you have put them in such a category. It is best to avoid this group at all times for there is no medicine to stop the itch.
So there you have it: Three years in observance from the garage to the stage. And we haven't even scratched the surface. Thanks again to all of you that have come out to our shows, bought our merchandise and stayed around to enjoy the music. I hope we can give you another three years. We have one more show this year on Friday December 17th at Foobar II in Nashville, TN. It's a toy drive for Toys for Tots and admission is free with a gift for a child. This will also be our 100th show. What a great way to celebrate the holiday season. We are truly grateful for your support - The Jug Huggers
